Basswood is a high-quality wood, lightweight, and versatile. Basswood plywood has an even colour and is remarkably smooth. The layers do not contain many knots.
Properties
Basswood plywood is made up of a number of sheets, glued together in a crosswise fashion. This guarantees strength and stability in all directions and it makes it less prone to breakage than solid wood. Basswood plywood does have a main grain direction. The thinner sheets of 3 mm are stiffer along that line. The internal layers contain few knots, which adds to the beautiful appearance of these sheets. Basswood naturally has a light colour, with a subtle and even grain structure.
Applications
